BearLax Lacrosse Club Policies

• BearLax is a premier Lacrosse Club that will provide for its members premier coaching; opportunities to play with and against the best players in the West Coast and throughout the United States; and guidance in the college recruiting process. The BearLax mission is to help grow the sport of lacrosse in Northern California and also to develop athletes who can move on and play at the collegiate level.

FEES AND REFUNDS

• Player travel expenses are separate from the annual membership fee. (flights, hotel, ground transportation, food)
• NO REFUNDS for tryouts, and membership cancellation will ONLY be given credit MINUS all of the processing fees. 
• Uniforms for the Select and WC teams are separate.

PARENTS

• Parents are required to defer to the BearLax staff for all decisions regarding the players, and how they are to be coached. Those parents who wish to become more involved in the program, please don’t hesitate to contact us and let us know.
• BearLax will endeavor to teach players skills which will help them in life as well as on the lacrosse field. The importance of teamwork, accountability, and initiative will be strongly emphasized. In order to make this growth possible, we encourage players to discuss concerns with their coaches directly(rather than parents). Each player will be held accountable for her actions as well as the decisions that she makes.

• We strongly discourage players from participating in or joining other club lacrosse programs that will take away from their commitment to BearLax.

• There are 3 different options for participating with BearLax:

1. BearLax Select- must tryout for this 18 person roster
2. BearLax West Coast- must tryout for Select, and communicate desire to be on this team rather than Select OR be placed on this 18 person squad
3. BearLax Summer League- for beginners, intermediate players, and experienced players.  BearLax Select and WC players may also sign up for this.  No tryout required-just one team placement session.

BearLax Summer League- $275

We will have team placements in the first week of June, and then we will have games once/week for 8 weeks of the summer.  All levels welcome.  Ages 8-18.  Divisions: U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19

Membership costs for 1 year will vary according to team:

You can also choose  to be on this team if you do not want to make the time commitment (or financial commitment) to the Select team.
